A RESOLlll'ION EXPRESS!?«; THE APPRECIATION OF THE CITY OF ENGLEWOOD,
COLORADO, TO MAICUS O. SHIVERS, JR.
WHERE~, Marcus o. Shivers, Jr., has served the City of Englewood for 24 years,
initially, in the capacity as City Attorney and finally, as Special Water Counsel; and
WHEREAS, due to the professional competency and perseverance of Mr. Shivers,
the water utility of the City of Englewood has gained the reputation as being one of the major
independent waterworks systems in the State; and
WHEREAS , Marcus o . Shivers , Jr., has recently been appointed by the Governor of the
State of Colorado to the position of District Judge in and for the Eighteenth Judicial District
of the State of Colorado, after having been reconunended for such position by the Judicial
Nominating Comnission of said Judicial District.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the City Council, on behalf of the City
of Englewood and the residents thereof , s hould, and does hereby, note the appreciation of the
City of Mr. Marcus o . Shivers, Jr., for services which he has rendered to the City, recognize
the esteem in which he is held by the residents of this City and wish to him all good fortune,
both personally, and in his new position.
