Woodman, d/b/a/ Woodman Drug and the evidence a nd information a dduced at the Public Hearing upon said application, the City Cowicil of the City of Englewood does here by adopt the following findings and conclusions: 1. The applicant is the owner and operator of the business establishment at s uch location and is of g ood character and reputation and has not been convicted of a felony or crime within any court of the United States, or within any c o u rt o f record in any state or territory of the United States. 2 . The petitions submitted by the applicant which had been circulated in the store numbered 121 signatures . Signatures on a petition circulated in the are a tota l <'cl ' r; i.qna tu re ::;. 3 . The application for the license was opposed at the Public Hearing by several individual s wh o presented a pet ition which contained 50 signature s a gainst the granting of s uch license. The applicant anct o n e other individual s tated that the location neede d the liccm;c iJl 0 1 d c 1-Lhal L11 c druy store operation could be a successful one. 5 . Th at th e En g l e wood Liquor Store , 3 434 South Broadway (retail liquor store); 'l'h c G L:t c:; llotL l c l.i.q u or:;, 33 G West ll a mp dcn (retail liq u or s tore ); M-D IJ r uy S tore , 28 9 5 Sou th Broadway (liquor licensed drug store); and Old Town Liquors, 325 Eas t Jefferson Avenue (retail liquor store); are all within the neighbor- hocxl that t h <' a ppU c ant dcsi r es to licens e and o f fer th e s am e or s im i lar service to be provided by applicant if licensed. 6 . The applicant ha s not s hown, nor does the Council find, from the record and the hear i.11y h c rci.11 , th o:l t t J1c reasonab l e: requireme nts o f the n e i ghborhood are not be ing met by e xisting outlets within the neighborhood area. , THEREFORE , BE IT HE SO LV ED that, based upon the foregoing and the entire record and the evidence contained herein, the application of Roy c. Woodman, d/b/a Woodman Drug for the issuance of a liquor lice nsed drug store to be located at 3395 South Broadway, Englewood, Co l orado , should be and is hereby denied .
