T h at , s ub jec t Lo Lh c prov i s ion s Jnd condition s contained within the Char- ter of the City of Englewood, Ordinance No. 14, Series of 1965, and any applicable statute , City Coun cil hereby declares that it is its intent to approve the whole cost of the improvements made in and for Sidewalk Improvement District No. 70, to approve and confirm the apportionment of said cost to each lot or tract of land in said District a nd to itssess a shrirc of said cost .:iga in st e.,ch lot or tr.:i.ct of l a nd in t h e Ois t.r icL , .llld t.o .:t pprovc the comple tion of said district. 2. That a public hearing upon said assessments will be held before City Council a t City Hall , 3400 South Elati , Engl e wood, Colorado, to conunence at 8:00 o'clock p.m. on Monday, March 1, 1971, and that notice of the proposed assessments be given by the City Clerk and published in the Englewood Herald and Enterprise, a news- paper published and of general circulation in said City, in three consecutive weekly editions, therein giving Notice to the owners of the property tp be assessed of the matters and things required by law. At or about the time of the first publication, Notice shall a lso be given by prepaid ma i l to all known owners of property to be assessed with the cost of said improvements. 3. T h e Notice to be published s h all be in substantially the following form: NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING UPON THE COSTS AND ASSESSMENTS FOR SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 70, CITY OF ENGLEWOOD, COLORADO, AND OF A HEARING UPON A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE APPROVING SAID COSTS /\ND ~SSESSMENTS . All owners of real estate and property located in Sidewalk Improvement Dis- trict No. 70 created by Ordinance No. 30, Series of 1970, City of Englewood, Colorado, and all persons generally , are hereby notified that the construction of the improvements for Sidewalk District No. 70 has been completed and the costs thereof have been ascertained, and that the City Council is of the intent to approve and confirm the apportionment of said costs to each lot or tract of land in said District; to assess a share of said costs against each lot or tract in said District; and to prescribe the manner of collection and payment of said assessments; and that the City Council at its reqular meeting on February 1, 1 971 a dopted a resolution setting forth its intent to approve said costs and assessments . Said persons are further notified as follows: (a) T he whole cost of said improvements is the sum of $10,312.41. (b) Of said sum of $10,312.41, the City of Englewood will pay $4,091.35, leaving a balance of $6,220 .56 to be assessed against the real property in said District.
