I\ ro~:so r .l1rTO N /\DOP'rT NG I\ P/\Y P lJ\N F O R EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF ENGLEWOOD FOR THE
YEAR 1 97 2 .
WHEREAS, the pro visions of Section 5-2-3 of the Municipal Code of the City of Englewood
requi r e that t h e C ity Council of the City of Englewood adopt a pay plan for each employee within
the C ity; and
WHEREAS , the C ity administration and the Board of Career Service Commissioners have
h eretofore r e comme nded to the City Council regarding a pay plan for employees in the classified
s erv i ce ; and
WHERE AS , the City Council has determined to adopt a pay plan for the employees of the
C ity and h as provided f und s in the budg et f or the y e ar 1972 for same;
NOW , T HE REFO RE, BE IT RESOLVED BY T HE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ENGLEWOOD, COLORADO,
tha t effec t i v e J a nuary 1, 1 ~72 , a l l p resent cla s s i f i e d employees working in the cla s sifica tion h
hereinafter set f orth shall receive a wage or salary in accordance with the following schedule,
based upon t h e sch e dule therefore c o ntained in Section 5-6-8 of the Municipal Code, as named:

FURTHE R, that the above pay plan incorporates a one grade salary increase for all
pos itions pre vi ously d etermin e d to be ineligible t :J receive overtime compe nsation pursuant
to the provi s ions of the Municipal Code, said positions being identified by the word "exempt."
FURl'HER , that the City Manager and Board of Career Service Commissioners are
reque sted to rev iew pos itions fr o m Grades 22 to 26, inclusive, as to eligibility for receiving
overtime comp e nsation based upon pay l e vel, s upervisory responsibilities, and professional
standard s . Should the Board of Career Serv ice Commissioners and City Manager determine that

they arc h ereby a uthorized ..a.mJ c.lit cc.:Lcd t o increase or decrease the pay level for that
pos ition by not more than one g rade leve l in order to parallel the other changes of grade
levels for positions set forth herein, provided such decision be made and implemented by not
later than March 1, 1 9 72.
FURl'HE R, that all pre vious salary resolutions be superseded hereby.
