HomeMy WebLinkAbout1969 Resolution No. 023RESOLUTION NO. 23, SERIES OF 1969 RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING THE IMMINENT NECESSITY FOR A STORM DRAINAGE SYSTEM TO SERVE AND PROTECT THE CITIZENS AND PROPERTY OF ENGLEWOOD, COLORADO, AND DECLARING THE INTENT OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ENGLEWOOD TO TAKE WHATEVER STEPS MAY BE NECESSARY TO REMEDY STORM DRAINAGE PROBLEMS IN THAT AREA AT THE EARLIEST POSSIBLE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of Englewood, either through the annexation of property or the issuance of building permits, has condoned the development of property within the present City limits: and, WHEREAS, the City of Englewood, the developers and the owners of such properties have not provided adequate storm drainage facilities in the City: and, WHEREAS, the recent storm of June 8, 1969, resulted in substantial property damage and inconvenience to property owners within that area: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ENGLEWOOD, COLORADO, that this City Council should, and hereby declares, that it will take whatever steps may be necessary to remedy stonn drainage problems in the aforementioned area at the earliest possible moment. ,~~s~~ ATTEST: I, Stephen A.
