HomeMy WebLinkAbout1968 Resolution No. 018~u m·;no r.•rr TO N NO . l fl , S ER I E S OF 196 8 A RESOLUTION ADOPTING AND APPROVING A PAY PLAN FOR MUNICIPAL EMPLOYE~S IN THE CLASSIFED SERVICE PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF §6.6-13 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE ~~T.Y OF ENGLEWOOD. WHEREAS, The Board of Career Service Commissioners has heretofor recormnended to City Council a pay plan for municipal employees in the classifed service, which pay plan has been considered by City Council, and WHEREAS, City Council has determined to adopt as the pay plan for the classifed employees of the City, a plan i ncorporating some, but not all, of some provisions of that recommended plan. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ENGLEWOOD, as follows: 1. That the compensation to be paid any employee under the provisions of this resolution shall be in addition to any other or additional compensation to be paid pursuant to the provisions of any present or future ordinance and this resolution shall remain in effect until superseded by the adoption of a further resolution. 3. That the step-level of all present employees shall remain the same, even though such employees, or some of them, may receive an increase in grade as a result of the adoption of this pay plan, unless or until a change is made therein by the Board of Career Service Commissioners, pursuant to the authority granted to said Board by Chapter 6 of the Municipal Code: provided, however, that any employee wh o did not receive a wage increase as a result of the adop- t ion of t hat p l a n comm o nl y rc•ff'rn•d to as "PPC" s h a l l i m- mediately recei v e a on e s tep increase. Nothing herein shall b e c onstrued to prohibit the Board from continuing to estab- lish the e ntrance level salaries for new employees or from gra n ting or denying anniversary salary increases in accor- dan ce with t h e provisons of Chapt e r 6 of the Municipal Code. In th e e vent of the establishment of a new job classi- ficat i on by the Board, the Board shall recommend to Council the grade level therefor and Council shall establish the n e w c lassification's grade level by written resolution. ~L~ /Mayor ATTEST: ~J .L
