FULLERTON FROM HIS POSITION AS MEMBER OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ENGLEWOOD AND EXPRESSING TO HIM THE HEARTFELT APPRECIATION OF THE CITY FOR THE VALUABLE SERVICES RENDERED BY HIM. WHEREAS, Donald G. Fullerton has recently announced his resignation from membership on the City Council of the City of Englewood for purely personal reasons, and WHEREAS, this Council, while reluctant to do so, deems it appropriate to defer to his personal wishes and reluctantly to accept his resignation, and WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper at this time to pUblicly commend the said Donald G. Fullerton for the valuable services he has rendered to the City of Englewood and to its citize ns, in various capacities, since his first election to th e C ity council of th e C i ty o f En g l e wood and to express the City's appreciation therefor, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ENGLEWOOD as follows: 1. In deference to the personal wish and desire of Donald G. Fullerton, the City Council of the City of Englewood/j does hereby reluctantly accept his resignation as a member of the City Council of the City of Englewood, effective June 30, 1968. 2. Th e C it y Council of the City of Englewood does hereby publicly conunend Donald G. Fullerton for .the services which he has rendered to this City since first assuming the positi on as a Councilman of this City. He brought to this Council wholehearted devotion to duty and an exemplary degree of steadfastness of purpose. He served not only as a member of City Council, but also as a member of the Water and Sewer Board of th e City of Englewood and as a member of the City Planning and Zonim) Commission. In addition, other municipalities with i n t h e State recognized his ability and his perseverance. He s e rved for a time as a delegate from this City to the Inter-County Regional Planning Conunission, was elected to the Executive Board of the Colorado Municipal League and was Chairman of the Regional Air Pollution Control Agency. In addition, he won the respect and admiration of fellow councilmen and served two years as Mayor Pro Tempore of the City Council. To each of these tasks, he devoted himself fully and his service in each capacity was marked by thorough and painstaking study and con- sideration of each matter coming before him. It is, therefore, altogether appropriate that this City council does hereby publicly announce their appreciation to Donald G. Fullerton for having mad e the many sacrifices which he had in the past made to forward the cause of good municipal government and to say to the public at large that his presence, his intense study and consideration of the issues and his views will be sorely missed from this Council. Each member of this Council wishes Donald G. Fullerton the best of luck in all his future endeavors. ATTEST: Dated this 1st day of July, 1968. g ·a~urJ- J_O
