RESOLUTION NO. 46, SERIES OF 1968
WHEREAS, the City council of the City of Englewood has adopted
Resolution No. 43, Series of 1968, adjusting and amending
the 1969 Supplemental Budget for the City of Englewood;
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Englewood has given further
study, review and consideration to the requirements of
the City's 1969 appropriations and expenditures as con-
tained within the Supplemental Budget as established in
Resolution No. 43, Series of 1968;
NOW , THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Resolution No. 43, Series of
1968, be adjusted and amended by Fund as follows:
A. GENERAL FUND:
l. The total additional revenues to be derived from the
additional 1% City Sales and Use Tax for the months
of November, 1968, and December, 1968, shall be
included in the General Fund revenue estimates ...• $180,000.
2. The General Fund shall shre in the estimated
$900,000 in additional 1% City Sales and Use Tax
for 1969 as follows and such sum shall be included
in the General Fund 1969 revenue estimates •••••.•. $704,227.
3. The total revenue to be derived from the estimated
decrease of the 1969 General Fund mill levy from
7.773 mills to 2.977 mills shall be reduced from
the General Fund 1969 revenue estimates •••..•.••• $281,596.
4. The following items shall be eliminated from esti-
mated expenditures:

shall be increased appropriately and funded in a
single program, General Government, Employee
Benefit Program, for transfer to departmental
programs and sub-programs as required on or
af tcr January l, 1969. Such funds placed within
the General Government, Employee Benefit Pro-
gram, reflect the City council's intent to:
(a) Increase all Career Service employee (ex-
.:c plinlJ uni formed police) sa lari es a nd wages
effective January 1, 1969, and as recommended
by a study, commonly referred to as the Task
Force Recommendations, with exception that
no employee shall be increased more than
three grades.
(b) Increase all department head salaries by
three grades, excepting the Fire Chief, who
shall receive a four-grade increase, effective
January l, 1969.
(c) Provide reserve funds in the event that the
Council shall elect at a later date to:
(1) Establish a non-uniformed employee
pension and retirement program approxi-
mating 5.5% of salaries for the last six
months of 1969.
(2) Increase all employee (excepting
uniformed police) salaries and wages
by one grade for the last six months
of 1969.
(d) The General Government, Employee Benefit
Program, appropriations in total shall be:

The Fire Department's program shall be increased

7. The Police Department's program shall be increased
to provide for new salary and wage levels which be-
come effective December 1, 1968, as per recent

8. The City council's program shall be increased to
provide for a contribution to South Suburban
Conununity Arts Symphony ••••••••••.•••••••.•••• $ 1,500.
9. Expenditures related to the functioning of the
Personnel Director and his staff shall be trans-
ferred from Board of Career Service Conunissioners'
program to a sub-program of the Office of the City
Manager ••.••••••.••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• $ 18,601.
B. PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT FUND:
1. The Public Improvement Funds shall share in the
estimated $900,000 in additional 1% City Sales and
Use Tax for 1969 as follows and such sum shall be
included in the Public Improvement Fund 1969
revenue estimates ••••••••••••••••••••••••••.•• $195,773.
2. The total increased revenue to be derived from
the estimated increase of 1969 Public Improvement
Fund mill levy from 1.322 mills to 1.500 mills
shall be included in the Public Improvement Fund
1969 revenue estimates ••.••..•.•••.••...•.•••• $ 11,079.
3. The total estimated revenue from City Hall building
requirements to be derived from refinancing of the
City Hall building shall be reduced in 1969 estimated

4. Aerial housing shall be eliminated from estimated

5. Relocation of Fire Station No. 2 shall be eliminated

6. Fire Station No. 1 relocation shall be added to

7. Storm sewer program shall be eliminated from
estimated expenditures ••.•..••••••••.•..•..••• $100,000.
8. Broadway traffic divider shall be eliminated from
estimated expenditures •••••••••••••••••••••••• $ 13,000.
C. WATER FUND:

and s ub-programs to provide for the implementa-
tion on January 1, 1969, of the Task Force Recom-
mendations and a three-grade increase for the po-

D. SEWAGE TREATMENT FUND:
1. Employee wage and salaries and associated bene-
fits shall be increase as appropriate in programs
and sub-programs to provide for the implementa-

tion on January l, 1969, of the Task Force Recom-
mendations and a three-grade increase for the po-
