HomeMy WebLinkAbout1968 Resolution No. 049I I I RESOLUTION NO. 49, SERIES OF 1968 A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING PETITION FOR ANNEXATION AND DETERMINING THAT THE SAME SUBSTANTIALLY COMPLIES WITH THE PRO- VISIONS OF CHAPTER 139, ARTICLE 21, COLORADO REVISED STATUTES, 1963, AS AMENDED, AND REFERRING THE SAME TO THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION FOR RECOMMENDATION. WHEREAS, the Conservative Baptist Theological Seminary, Inc., has heretofor filed its petition with the City Clerk of the City of Englewood, who has referred the same to this Council, and WHEREAS, the Council has heretofor examined the same, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ENGLEWOOD, as follows: l. That the City council of the City of Englewood, Colorado, should, and does hereby find that: a -The said petition and the accompanying annexation substantially complies with the provisions of 139-21-6(1), Colorado Revised Statutes, 1963, as amended. b -The said petition is signed by one hundred per cent (100%) of the owners of the property proposed to be annexed, by reason of which it is unnecessary to hold a public hearing before this Council concerning the same property's eligibility for annexation. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Council should, and does hereby, request that the Planning and Zoning Conunission give consideration to appropriate zoning of said territory and to pro- vide to this Council a reconunendation relating thereto on or before this Council's regular meeting to be held on the 6th day of January, 1969.
