SPECIAL ELECTION CALENDAR -March 1, 1983
Absent voter applications may be received from this date (90 days
before election)
Order election supplies; notify County Clerk by letter of number
of machines needed for election; request list of registered voters
to be paid for by Englewood
Send letters to prospective judges and alternates
Select polling places and notify of selection, notify movers of
election
Last day to register to vote, change address, etc.; Keep City Hall
open until 7:00 P.M.; Notify paper (32 days before election)
Voter registrations to Arapahoe County -hand carry to County
Clerk
Prepare list of polling places; notify machine movers of addresses
Order voting machine strips, sample ballots and absentee ballots
(Hoeke ls)
Publish notice of election in Sentinel ,. February 16, 1983. Send
notice to Sentinel (10 days before election)
Finalize list of judges and alternates
Appoint judges of election and alternates (15 days before election)
Post polling places with "Notice of Election" (10 days before election)
Call polling places to remind them to have polling places open by
6:00 A.M. on election day; voting machines will be delivered on
February 28.
Last day to apply for absentee voter ballots; prepare judges packets;
meetingwith judges and alternates; deliver election supplies to
judges.
Election Day
Send letter of thanks and checks to judges and polling places
Publish Ce r tificate of Determination in Sentinel and file copy
with Secretary of State
Deliver voting machine strips to Arapahoe County immediatley upon
receipt
Pick up lists o f Englewood registered voters from Arapahoe County Clerk
as soon as ready
