Office · / s/ BeausanP: e are calling your a tten tion to the f act that a through street is at issue in the development o f the two properties in South Englewood, namely the property owned hy the Peerless Builders which lays between the north and south roundries o f Grand and Bellview avenues and my prop- erty adjoing on t h e west and also extends f rom Grand to Bellview avenues. Since The Peerless Buil d ers are erecti ng 1 6 a partment buildings with 320 apartments housing some 1 000 p eople and have pro v ided and dedicated no streets whatever we f eel this ma tter s h ould h e p i v en immediate attention. Also unless there is a street nro v i d ed h etween the two properties I will b e una ble to devellope my nropertv. The Mayor asked that the minutes be received and placed on file. 621-10 VARIOUS DEPARTMENTAL REPORTS The Acting City Manager reviewed the following reports with the Council: Police Department Report for first quarter of 1962 1 Building Department Report for first quarter of 1962, Fire Department Report for first quarter of 1962, Traffic Department Report for first quarter of 1962. The Mayor asked that the reports be received and placed on file. 621-14 RELATING TO ZONING REQUEST BY LUNDGREEN Councilman Braun expressed his appreciation for the summary of action for rezoning sought by !'Jir. Robert F. and Jene M. L~ndgreen prepared by the City Clerk. The ~ayor also commented that the summary was well pre- pared. The City Clerk read an a pplic a tion for Retail Fermented Malt Beverage License (For sale of J.2% beer only) received on April 9, 1962 at lO:JO A.M. in his office by En glewood Lanes, I nc. dba as Englewood Lanes, Inc., at 4165 South Broadway, Englewood. He sta ted that this License was issued on April 26, last year to a Vi r. Corma n and Mr •. and Mrs. Schissler had purchased the cor poration last f all. The Acting City Manager stated that he had requested a police report on the present owners of the corpora tion and had received the report before the Council at this time. Discussion ensued, with Councilman Sm u kler fav orin g the reissuance of the license because the Council would not meet b e f ore Apri l 26th, the expiration date of the present license. Kramer, Chairman of the Career Service Board, dated April 12, 1962, relating to a questionable over payment to Robert E. Nelson, Street Superintendent, and that copies of this letter had b een submitted to the Council members, the City Manager and City Attorney. Discussmon ensued.
