Mr. Kenneth lloot, 5030 louth Delaware Street, atated that he had filed a petition with the City Clerk objecting to the propoaed rezoning. Be stated that the petition waa aigned by more than twenty per cent of th• property owner• within the area aurrounding the requeated zoning •it• and auggeated that the reaonift9 be R-2-A inatead of •· Be atated that the T zone i• a new aonilMJ and waa too flexible. Barry carleno, 5020 South Pox StrMt, atated that although he lived one and one-half bloeka from th• •it• under conaideration, h• wished to •peak against the comaercial activities allowed in the T zone. Being aa no auch activiti•• or c:omaercial uaa9•• are in that area pr•••ntly and, that the introduction of auch uaag•• through th• T son• would tend to deteriorate th• values in that area. llr. Lewi• Berghauaer, 3211 South Cherok .. atreet, atated that h• had nothing to gain or loae on the partieular reaonin9 but that he had been inatruaental in developing and .. lling the land upon which the aingle family residence• to th• west occupies. Be expr•••ed concern that many of the owner• of h08'•• in this area which have purchaaed th-quit• recently did ao on the reliance that the area waa zoned •ain9le f-ily• and would now find tranaitional zone permitting cosmaercial type activiti•• had been extabliahed i ecliately to their east.
