C hair Sarconi stated that the Minutes of February 10, 20 11 were to be co nsid ered for
approva l. It was de t e rmin ed there was a quorum. Chair Sar co ni as k ed if there were any
changes or ad ju stments to the Mi nutes . There we re none.

PRIORITIZE 2011 GOALS
Top priority for 20 11 w ill be to rev iew current Community Development programs for
• business, suggest new ones and dis c uss in ce nti ves.

Cha ir Sarconi asked eac h member t o bring an exa m p le of an in ce nti ve to the tab le next
month to discuss. She also asked Staff to research w hat other c iti es of sim il ar size to
Eng lewood are doing in th e way of in centives.
The Med ica l Ma riju ana upd at e discussion was tabled until summer after State an d C ity
reg ul at i ons take effect.
MONTHLY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT REPORT FORMAT

The members found the Economic D eve lopm en t Report very in formative. M r.
Hollingsworth distributed two pages from the City's fin a n c ial report that th e Mayor
su gges ted be inclu ded in eac h n ex t month's packet.

CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

Ms. Me ll o p rovided an update o n C hamb e r even ts . The an nu al Gala w ill b e held on April
19 1h. The Student Recognition awa rd s and Du ck Race w ill be held in May. Eng lewood
Parkway can n ot be closed for events to be h eld in conjun ctio n with the concert ser ies. The
Chamber w ill contin u e to work o n events than can be h eld in the circle d ri ve by th e
founta in .

Mr. Vasi las provided an u pda t e on BID eve nts . The marketing co m pa ny co ntinu es to work
on the new logo and name, South Broadway Mile. The new broc hur e an d webs ite sho ul d
be comp leted in April.
Th e Eats and Beats summ er eve nt w ill be h eld o n Jun e 25, 201 1. The event wi ll run from
12:00 p.m . to 10:00 p.m . O n e band has been hired, there will be no admission fee, and
li quor/beer ma y be served . Severa l sponsorship opportuniti es a re avai lab le and vo lu nteers
are n eeded to help with the event. He en co uraged everyone on ACE to si gn up to h elp.

Director White asked ACE if the c ur re nt meeting tim es work for th em or if th ey wou ld
prefer another tim e. They op t ed to keep th e meeting time as is.
Director W hite noted that the u su al meeting room wi ll not be ava il ab l e for th e April 141

meeting. Staff wi ll look at find in g an altern ate date and/or location for th e Ap ril meetin g .
