II. ACE BUSINESS
Review of 2015 Business Summit
Chair Whyte polled the Committee for feedback regarding the 2015 Business Summit.
Mr. Weinberger felt the attendance was lower than the previous year. Marketing efforts
would improve attendance. Mr. Jefferson remarked that the speakers were effective in
that they addressed local issues. He would like to see a job fair possibly in conjunction
with a future Business Summit to facilitate matching citizens to jobs.
Mr. Michels asked how the Business Summit was marketed and what the value was to
the attendees. Mr. Hollingsworth explained that Mr. Segal tailored his presentation to
Englewood.
Suggestions included extending the networking session, expanding the Business Expo
and holding the event in one room rather than moving from the Community Room to
Hampden Hall. Without a budget, perhaps only having one speaker would be best and
ACE will be asked to provide suggestions for the next event.
Mr. Knoth remarked that the value to the participant could be enhanced with more
networking and Mr. Michels agreed.
