Wright, Manager Flint, Maud Coffey The purpose of this special meeting was the discussion of Master Street Plan, being a part of the Municipal Plan of the City of Englewood. Map was presented and approved with certain changes. Flint, Lawrence Guilford, Councilman B. B. Wright, Lee Jones, Maud Coffey Meeting convened at 11 a.m. Mr. Janssen presided. The Master Street Plan, curb and sidewalk of the City of Englewood was discussed. The following resolution was made and adopted by the Commission: WHEREAS, it is the function and duty of the City Planning Commission of the City of Englewood to make and adopt a master plan for the physical development of said city in accordance with procedure for adoption prescribed by Section 167, Chapter 163, 1935 Colorado Statutes Annotated; and WHEREAS, in connection with the adoption of such master plan and parts thereof, and amendments, extensions and additions thereto, the commission deems it proper and advisable that such plan to be made and adopted be now entitled, and that said procedure be read at length into the minutes of the commission for purpose of reference; BE IT RESOLVED, That the master plan to be made and adopted by the commission for the physical development of the City of Englewood shall be, and it hereby is, entitled MUNICIPAL PLAN OF THE CITY OF ENGLEWOOD; BE IT RESOLVED, That said Section 167, Chapter 163, 1935 Colorado Statutes Annotated, be, and it hereby is, read into the minutes of the commission in words as follows, to-wit: "Section 167. Procedure of commission. -The commission may adopt the plan as a whole by a single resolution or may be successive resolutions adopt successive parts of the plan, said parts corresponding with major geographical sections or divisions of the municipality or with functional subdivisions of the subject matter of the plan, and may adopt any amendments or extensions thereof or,~~addition thereto. Before the adoption of the plan or any such part, amendment, extension or addition, the commission shall hold at least one public hearing thereon, notice of the time and place of which shall be given by one publication in a newspaper of general circulation in the muni- cipality and in the official newspaper of the county affected. The adoption of the plan, or any part, or amendment, or extension or addition, shall be by resolution of the commission carried by the affirmative votes of not less than two-thirds of the entire membership of the commission. The resolution shall refer expressly to the maps and descriptive and other matter intended by the commission to form the whole or part of the plan, and the action taken shall be recorded on the map and plan and descriptive matter by the identifying signature of the chairman or secretary of the commission. An attested copy of the plan or part thereof shall be certified tp the legislative or govening body of the territory affected and after the approval by said body shall be filed with the clerk and recorder of each county affected. (L. '29, p. 226, Par 8.)" Whereupon, the following resolution was made and adopted by the commission, to-wit. WHEREAS, The commission has authority to adopt successive parts of the MUNICIPAL PLAN OF THE CITY OF ENGLEWOOD by successive resolutions, said parts corresponding with geographical sections or divisions of the municipality or with functional subdivisions or the subject matter of the plan, and to adopt any amend- ments or extensions thereof or addition thereto; and WHEREAS, as a part of said plan corresponding with a functional subdivision of the subject matter thereof, the commission has completed preparation of a master street plan for the city of Englewood providing for the general location, character and extent of streets, subways, bridges, walks and ways within said city, and deems if necessary and advisable that said part be immediately adopted in manner provided by statute; BE IT RESOLVED, That the commission cause to be prepared forthwith complete maps, charts, and descriptive matter showing the commission's recommendations in con- nection with said street plan, and that the commission hold a public hearing thereon at the earliest date possible, following such preparation, the time and place and notice thereof to be fixed by further resolution of the commission.
