Members present: Larry Guilford, Mayor Weigand, Mr. Flint, and Dorothy Romans; Mr. Guilford
presiding.
Mr. Richard Finn and Mr . Ed Cartwright met with the Commission to submit for approval the
final plat of Block 16 Evanston Broadway Addition -Second Filing.
Spe~ial provisions were asked by the Planning Commission as follows:
The minimum floor space for all residences in this subdivision
shall be 850 sq. ft. exclusive of garage and breezeway. All
building sights shall have a minimum frontage of 60 ft. and a
minimum area of 7500 sq. ft. There shall 'be a 10 ft. easement
for drainage purposes thru lots 14 and 37 to connect with the
culvert.
Motion by Dr. Weigand and second by Mr. Flint that the Planning Commission grant approval
of the plat submitted by Mr. Finn subject to the provisions asRed; also to be shown on the
plat is a 10 ft. easement for drainage purposes.

John A. Dun c a n , 50 W. Hampden, submitted plans for an addition to, and a new front on the
existing building at this address. The addition is to be a 40 x 56 ft. masonry building
to be used as a warehouse and sales building.
The Building Inspector is to be notjfied of the Commission's approval.
Mr. Senti, Mr. Lull, Mr. Selby were visitors at the meeting. They asked what the new zoning
would be near the Maddox School.
Dr. Crawford wants to construct a one-story doctor's office building on the lot south of
the ditch between Broadway and Acoma on Jefferson. The sight is 216 ft. by 50 ft. at the
widest point. A parking area could be provided if ,Acoma is vacated and that area used.
Mr. Flint is to check the vacation of Acoma.
Dr. Crawford was asked to have a petition signed by the adjoining property owners giving
their approval.
Mr. Reibling submitted the annexation plat for the Stewart and Rogge Subdivision. Mr.
Reibling now .owns Block 2 of the Rogge Addition and has an agreement to annex by the owner
of Block 1 Rogge Addition as requested by the Commission.
The Commission will recommend to Council that Annexation be approved if the Subdivision is
platted with a minimum 60 ft. frontage and an area of 7200 sq. ft. The houses are to have
a minimum of 850 sq. ft. exclusive of garage and breezeway.
The Commission will recommend to Council that the area be zoned concurrently Rl.
There is to be a written agreement by Mr. Reibling that he will dedicate a 50 ft. street
located along the East line of Block 2 provided for a turn around or a connection with the
alley between Block 2 and the Stewart Subdivision --subject to the existence or dedication
of a 16 ft. alley. There is to be an agreement by Mr. Reibling to connect to the sewer
line when it is available.
Mr. Guilford will make the recommendation to the City Council in written form.
Mr. Jay D. Selby, 3815 So. Elati, requests vacation of Logan Dale Drive along the East
side of the alley extended to City ditch on the South. Mr. Selby agrees to stand the
expense of advertising.
The Planning Commission will recommend the vacation of Logan Dale Drive between the ex-
tended East line of the Fox-Elati alley the City ditch and the South line of Lehigh.
The minutes of the June 17, 1954 ~eeting were read and approved.
The meeting adjourned at 1:00 p.m.

Members present: Mayor Weigand, B. B. Wright, Mr. Glint, Dorothy Romans, Fred Janssen.
Mr. Wright, acting chairman.
Mr. Harry Bowles and Mr. Calvin Douthit attended the meeting to find out whether or not
the zoning could be changed to allow the Costello Home, 3220 So. Ogden, to b~ operated as
a convalescent home. Mr. Douthit, if he purchases the Home, intends to repair existing
buildings and eventually to put up a new building.
Mr. Douthit was told that Harman and O'Donnell would be contact about the proposed zoning
in that area. That under present zoning it would be impossible to build a new structure
to be used for a non-conforming use. Mr. Douthit was asked to present a petition signed
by adjoining property owners.
