It is the impression of persons who have regularly attended the regular ICRPC meetings,
not necessarily Englewood personnel, that the meetings are dominated by persons directly
concerned with the technical aspects of planning. Lay representatives are often "left in
the dust" by the terminology and the direction of the discussion, thus making it difficult
for them to fully understand certain aspects of the planners proposals or to clearly state
their own community's stand on those plans.
In summary, the Planning Commission feels that the ICRPC has declined in its effectiveness
as a vehicle to reflect the will of the citizens for the future of the re g ion, but that any
official action by the City of Englewood would be premature at this time.
