Dorothy Rom er Stephen A. Lyon Absent: Harry Fleenor Mrs. Romans sub mitted her resignation from the Commission effective October l, 1967. Mr s. Rom e r stated that he r family is moving to California. A legal opinion from City Attorney Criswell concerning whether the unexpired Councilman-at-Large term should be an independent ballot position was received. The following ruling was made: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF ENGLEWOOD ELECTION COMMISSION THAT, should a two-year unexpired term of a Councilman who was elected from the City-at-Large be required to be filled at an election when other Councilmen-at-Large positions are to be filled for a four-year term, then the two-year unexpired term shall be separately nominated and petitioned and shall appear as a separat e position upon the ballot. The circulation of nomination petitions was discussed and the following ruling was made: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF ENGLEWOOD ELECTION COMMISSION THAT, prior to the issuance of a nomination petition, the follow- ing information shall be filled in: (a) Name of candidate. (b) The office for which the candidate will run. (c) The address of the candidate. (d) The person or persons to serve as a committee to fi.11 any vacancies which might occur in said nomination. (e) The name of the person taking out the petition. (f) Whether the person taking out the petition will circulate and, if not, the name of the circulator. The meeting was adjourned at 12:40 P.M.
