HomeMy WebLinkAbout1968-11-05 EC MINUTESELECTION COMMISSION CITY OF ENGLEWOOD, COLORADO NOVEMBER 5, 1968 The Election Commission of the City of Englewood, Arapahoe County, Colorado, met at 12:00 P.M., November 5, 1968. Present: Mr. William Hanson Mr. Harry Fleenor Mr. Stephen A. Lyon, Chairman Mr. Lyon informed members of the Election Commission of the problems which had occurred in the paper ballot precincts due to the fact that the judges had not been instructed in the proper use of paper ballots. A report in draft was submitted on these problems. A full report will be submitted at the time the Election Commission meets to certify the outcome. Mr. Lyon stated that only in Precinct 205 had voters been unable to cast their ballots on the November 5 election. Authorization was requested to determine insofar as possible those individuals who had been unable to cast their ballots in Precinct 205 and to contact these individuals and allow them to vote at the City of Englewood prior to the close of the polls. Authorization was granted. The Election Commission additionally ruled that those individuals who wished to come to the City of Englewood to cast their ballots be authorized mileage. The Election Commission established a special counting board for those individuals from Precinct 205 casting their ballot at the City of Englewood, said board to consist of the Election Commission and members of Mr. Lyon's staff as deemed necessary. ~A.~ Chairman
