Director of Finance Nollenberger stated that the election results reported on Tuesday night were in error for the following reasons in the following precincts. Precinct Nos. 10 and 12 -The returns for Werner Schnackenberg and Bruce Anderson were reversed. People's Ordinance No. 1 -Precinct No. 5 -The against vote was 10 votes short of the actual. Municipal Judge race -The Judge's total was 20 votes short. Mr. Nollenberger stated that the reversal of the votes in the Councilmanic race had changed the outcome from that which had been made public on Tuesday night. The reason for the error was that the election judges, in reading the back of the voting machine which goes consecutively from 1A through 7A did not relate those numbers to the front of the machine but rather related them to a sample ballot which was in the order of lA, 2A, 3A, 4A, 6A, 5A, 7A. As a result of this, 6A, which actually related to Mr. Schnackenberg, was given to Mr. Anderson, and vice versa for the 5A. Director of Finance Nollenberger stated that this in no way affected the validity of the elections, since the voting machine was correct in the way it was listed. Newport moved and Mitchell seconded the motion to certify the results of the election as stated on the Abstract of Voters and the official Englewood election book. Upon the call of the roll, the vote resulted as follows: Ayes: Newport, Mitchell, Nollenberger. Nays: None The meeting was adjourned at 3:25 P.M.
