HomeMy WebLinkAbout1974-06-12 EC MINUTESELECTION COIVMISSION MINUTES June 12, 1974 The Election' Corrrnission of the City of Englewood met on June 12, 1974 at 7:00 P.M. in the office of the Director of Finance. Present were -Mary Lou Newport, Lois Gilbert, Karl Nollenberger. Mr'. Nollenberger stated that the Election Carmission had convened to certify the results of the election held on June 11th. He entered the results of the election into the record, stating that the winners were Lee Jones, David Clayton, and James Taylor. He stated that 4,6ll voters had voted out of a registered voters of 13,792, for a 33.4'3% turnout. He asked the Election Corrmission to certify these results to the City Council by means of these minutes. Mr's. Newport moved and Mrs. Gilbert seconded a motion to certify the election results and the names of David Clayton, James Taylor and Lee Jones to the City Council as winners of the recent special election held on June 11, 1974. Upon the call of the roll, the vote resulted as follows: Ayes: Carmission members Newport, Gilbert, Nollenberger. Nays: None Mr'. Nollenberger stated that that was the totality of what the Election Conrnission had to do at this time. The meeting was adjourned at 7:30 P.M. Karl Nollenberger Secretary to the Election Corrnnission
