Various combinations of County Precincts for possible City Districts were
reviewed. After considerable discussion, the following action was taken :
MEMBER KENNETH BULL MOVED THAT THI CITY ELECTION COMMISSION RECOMMEND TO THE
ENGLEWOOD CITY COUNCIL THAT ALTERNATE NO. 1 BE ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE AS THE
REDISTRICTING FOR THE CITY OF ENGLEWOOD AS REQUIRED BY CITY CHARTER,
SPECIFICALLY THAT COUNTY PRECINCT 101 BE MOVED FROM DISTRICT I TO II; COUNTY
PRECINCT 104 BE MOVED FROM DISTR ICT I TO II; COUNTY PRECINCT 105 BE MOVED FROM
DISTRICT I TO II; COUNTY PRECINCT 111 BE MOVED FROM DISTRICT II TO I; COUNTY
PRECINCT 114 BE MOVED FROM DISTRICT II TO I; COUNTY PRECINCT 115 BE MOVED FROM
DISTRICT II TO I; AND COUNTY PRECINCT 135 BE MOVED FROM DISTRICT IV TO III.
MOTION WAS SECONDED BY CITY CLERK CROW.
After discussion of trre consequences of these changes, the vote results were:
Ayes: Bull, Crow, Kollath, Nilsen
Nays: None
Chairman Nilsen declared the motion carried.

The Commission was advised that it is possible a special election will be held
prior to t he general election in November. Details will be provided later .
Concerns we r e expressed about the confusion which may result if there is a
special election us i ng the current districting and then having the general
election in November using the new districts established by City Council as
di ·scussed above.

Member Kollath also expressed co ncern over the drastic change in the
constituency of Districts I and II, st ating they should be ke pt as much the
same .as possible. ~

MEMBER KOLLATH MOVED TO ADJOURN. The meeting was adjourned at 4:45 p.m .
