HomeMy WebLinkAbout1989-02-09 EC MEMOMEMORANDUM TO: Election Commission Members FROM: Patricia H. Crow, City Clerk DATE: February 9, 1989 SUBJECT: COMMISSION MEETING -FEBRUARY 16, 1989 Just a reminder of our meeting on February 16 at 4:00 p.m. in the Ernie Anderson Conference Room, Englewood Public Libary. In addition to welcoming our new Commission Member, Ms. Janice Walters (see enclosed letter), we will need to elect a Chairman for the Commission. As some of you may know, Hazel Nilsen decided not to seek reappointment and her term of office expired February 1st. As an update to the petitions which were to be circulated by the police officers calling for a Special Election in March for certain Charter changes, the petitions were not filed with my office before the deadlines established by State statute. So it appears the Special Election is off, at least for the time being. I will keep you posted if the situation changes. Enclosed is a tentative agenda for our meeting on the 16th. Please call me if you wish anything else added to the agenda. I hope all of you will be present to meet Ms. Walters.
