Present: Absent: Lay, Smith, Crow Warren, Wilson [Clerk's Note: Commission Member Warren entered the meeting at 5:23 p.m.] Also present: A quorum was present . City Attorney DeWitt Deputy City Clerk Ellis * * * * * The proposed election calendars for candidates, Council/staff, and the City Clerk's daily work, were reviewed and accepted by the Commission. City Clerk Crow distributed a notice regarding the Campaign Reform Act and Ordinance No. 12, Series of 1991. Discussion ensued. Ms. Crow was directed to develop a form CRA-40E, to be used for itemized contributions. City Clerk Crow stated she would publish a notice in the Englewood Sentinel stating that all information filed in the Campaign Reform Act (CRA) is public information and available for review in the City Clerk's Office. The Commission reviewed and accepted the candidate packet, which will be available for candidates on July 1, 1991. City Clerk Crow distributed copies of the City of Englewood precinct map noting it has been revised to reflect newly annexed areas of Englewood. City Clerk Crow provided a copy of the ballot questions (as of June 27, 1991) designated for the November 5, 1991 election. The Commission reviewed the __ hand-out. Ms. Crow confirmed the ballot questions are to appear on the ballot in order of approval. * * * * * The Commission received the City Council minutes of June 3, 1991. * * * * * City Attorney DeWitt was present and discussed several matters with the Election Commission. Chairman Lay stated she felt strongly that the proposed ballot question regarding "registered elector" versus "qualified" or "tax-paying" elector, should be consolidated and worded in the ''simplest" terms possible. Mr. DeWitt agreed. -1 - Lengthy discuss.ion:-ensued regarding the· ballot wording. Agreement was reached_ and City Attorney DeWitt stated the legal requirements are met.
