Crow, City Clerk DATE: December 13, 1991 SUBJECT: CAREER SERVICE BOARD ELECTION Enclosed is a proposed election schedule for the upcoming Career Serv i ce Boa r d election. The code stipulates that the election for the two members of the Career Service Board who are elected by the employees shall be under the purview of the Election Commission. Also enclosed is a copy of the official petition format as well as the announcement of the election to all full-time classified employees. I don't believe it is necessary for us to meet to approve these items. Please look them over and if you have any comments, give me or Lou a call. If I don't hear from you by December 27th, I'll assume everything is okay and we will proceed with the schedule. It wi 11 be necessary for us to meet later on in February to do the following: 1) verify the petitions 2) certify the candidates 3) establish polling places and hours to vote 4) approve ballot 5) designate Commission member to assist City Clerk in counting votes on March 9, 1992. I've scheduled the meeting for February 20th at 5:00 p.m., but that date can be changed if it's not convenient. Just let me know. * * * * * Also enclosed for your information: Minutes of November 18, 1991 City Council Meeting Recycled Paper • • • January 3, 1992 January 30, 1992 February 3, 1992 February 19, 1992 February 19, 1992 February 20, 1992 5:00 p.m. February 24, 1992 March 5-6, 1992 March 9, 1992 ELECTION SCHEDULE CAREER SERVICE BOARD March 5-6, 1992 Announcement of Election Petitions available (35th day before election Request list of eligible employees to vote (full-time, permanent, classified) from Administrative Services to be received by February 19, 1992 Receive list of eligible voters from Administrative Services Nomination petitions, properly executed, are to be filed with the City Clerk by 5:00 p.m. (15th day before election) Election Commission meeting, City Clerk's Office, Room 157, City Hall Written notice of election, candidates and polling places (at least 10 days before election Election Official announcement of election results .: <\' NOMINATION PETITION FOR THE OFFICE OF CAREER SERVICE COMMISSIONER, CITY OF ENGLEWOOD.
