SUBJECT: CAREER SERVICE BOARD ELECTION
On July 14, 1993, William G. Belt, submitted a letter of resignation from the Englewood
Career Service Board effective August 31, 1993. His term expires March 15, 1996.
Enclosed is a proposed election schedule for the upcoming Career Service Board Election.
Also enclosed is a copy of the official petition format as well as the announcement of the
election to all full-time classified employees.
I don't believe it is necessary for us to meet to approve these items . Please look them over
and if you have any comments, give me or Lou a call . If I don't hear from you by
Monday, July 19th, I will assume everything is okay and we will proceed with the
schedule.
It will be necessary for us to meet in August to do the following :
-verify the petitions
-certify the candidates
-designate a Commission member to assist the City Clerk in counting votes
· on August 30, 1993
I have scheduled the meeting for~.!:!~ a~., but that date can be changed if
it is not convenient. Just let me know.

Services to be received by July 30, 1993
Petitions available (35th day before election)
Receive list of eligible voters from Administrative
Services
Nomination petitions, properly executed, are to be
filed with the City Clerk by 5 :00 p .m. (15th day
before election)
Election Commission meeting, City Clerk's Office,
Room 157, City Hall
Written notice of election, candidates and ballots
provided with privacy envelopes (at least 10 days
before election)

Colorado, do hereby petition that who resides at

shall be a candidate for the office of CAREER SER VICE COMMISSIONER to be voted for at the Election
to be held on Thursday, the 26th day of August, 1993, pursuant to Sections 138 :3 and 138:4 of the
Englewood Home Rule Charter, and Title 3, Chapter 2 of the Englewood Municipal Code 1985, as amended.
