IV Redistricting/City Precincts
As a follow-up to the recent Redistricting the Commission considered the realignment of City Precincts.
City Clerk Crow summarized the criteria to be considered . She noted that City precincts are made up of
more than one County precinct, therefore it is impossible for City polling places to be consistent with each
and every County polling place. However she encouraged, whenever possible, that the Commission use
those County polling places which would serve the greatest number of electors, with the least
inconvenience possible. Reducing the number of City Precincts from 16 to 12 was considered . The
Commission reviewed the potential break-down of each District.
