company, and member Roth added that the National Retail Council

New Business.
a. Code Enforcement Statistics July 2000. Lynn stated that all animal
issues are up. He stated that parking tickets decreased slightly to 362,
due to the high school being closed for the summer. The parking
management officer has conducted extensive public relations training
sessions for numerous businesses on Windemere, Lipan, and Mariposa
regarding the Oxford RTD station. The vehicle auction was held June
24th, at which 40 cars were sold. There was discussion that the RTD
light rail north parking lot at the Civic Center might increase to two
stories to accommodate more cars. Floyd Avenue will be getting a brick
wall, and alleys north of there will be getting paved. Lynn was
impressed with the weed notices being much lower than the same
month last year. Lynn was also impressed with the number of
violations being corrected, since routinely two and three visits to a
property ar~ required and that is very time consuming. The selection of
a candidate for Code Enforcement is in process at the present time.
There was no other additional information available on the leash law .
b. Location of next Code Enforcement Advisory Committee meeting. Lynn
informed the committee members that if the meetings are held in the
Miller building, it is not handicapped accessible. He recommended that
the CEAC meetings be held at city hall, on the third floor, in the City
Manager's Conference room.
c. Computerized Parking Control System. Dave Lynn and Nancy Wilson
visited Colorado Springs to examine a hand-held computerized
parking/ticket control device being used there. They were very
impressed with the system, looking into possibly purchasing two of
these for Englewood. Each unit costs approximately $5,000 and comes
with a computer and a link to the courts.
