CODE ENFORCEMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE
MEETING MINUTES
JANUARY 17, 2001
1. Call to Order.
The regular meeting of the Englewood Code Enforcement Advisory Committee was
called to order at 6:35 p.m. by Chair Roth in the City Manager 's Conference Room.

2. Approval of Minutes.

Member McCahill moved and member Roberts seconded that the minutes of the
December 20 , 2000 Code Enforcement Advisory Committee meeting be approved.

3. Public Open forum.
4. Old business.

a. Changes to Englewood Municipal Code. Ruth Steel had the following suggested
changes to make to 7-lA-7 : #Cl , delete "at suitable intervals ", and add "an adequate
dail y suppl y". #C2 , delete "at suitable intervals ", and add , "at all times, have ". #C3 ,
after the word "sound ", add the word "clean". #CS , after the words "sufficient space '',
add the words , "to enable freedom of movement to provide sufficient exercise ". A
motion was made and voted on unanimously to approve the suggested changes. Mrs.
Steel presented some issues to the committee on the tethering of dogs.
b. Brochure. After approval from the CEAC , Lynn had 5,000 Code Enforcement
brochures printed. He went on to explain that the brochures were expensed out of the
2000 budget and the budget for 2001 is still intact.
5. New business.
a. December Code Enforcement Monthly Activity Report. Lynn presented the
monthl y activity report, discussing each violation in detail.

b. 2000 Code Enforcement Annual Activity Report. Lynn presented the annual activity
report, discussing each violation in detail. Lynn also explained that a Parking
Management Officer was added in March of 2000 , and two Code Enforcement Officers
were added in May and August of 2000, with an additional Parking Management
Officer to be hired in February 2001.
c. Graffiti Brochure. Lynn received a letter from the National Council to Prevent
Delinquency. The council is waiting to receive a disk from Lynn of the official
Englewood logo , so they can move forward in printing up Englewood's Responsible
Retailer Guide. Member McCahill made a motion that the committee approve sending
a copy of the Englewood logo to the Council on Delinquency. Member Roberts
seconded the motion, all were in favor and the motion passed.
6. Topics for February 21, 2001 meeting.
a. January Code Enforcement Monthly Activity Report
b. Election of Officers
c. Nancy Wilson to speak on Code Enfo rcement Parking/A bandoned Vehicles
d. Dave Lynn to speak on Englewood Municipal Code issues
7. Adjournment.
Member Olsen moved and member McCahill seconded to adjourn the meeting. The
motion passed unanimously and the meeting adjourned at 8:05 p.m.
