Meeting called to order by Vice-Chair Bayless Time: 6:40 Roll Call Committee Members Present: Susan Bayless; Mary Berger, Doug Cohn , Dave Walker (Alternate) Linda Hart -Arrived 6:43 Absent: Heather Roberts ; Sarah Thoemke ; James Jordon Ex-o fficio Members Present: Bob Mccaslin; Mark McKay; Mike Flaherty Absent: Rick Gillit Guests Present: None Approval of Minutes Motion : Cohn Second: Bay less Vote Carried 4-0 ill. Open Public Forum -None IV. New Business -Mark your calendars -Board & Commission Appreciation Event, Monday, June 24 , 6:00 p.m. Additional information and invitations will be forthcoming. Discussion: Mary Berger noted that the event would be held in the Community Room and not at Pirates Cove as in recent years. V. Unfinished Business a. Pot-Bellied pigs -Deputy Manager Flaherty provided an update on prior proposed ordinance to license pet pigs . City Council had rejected the licensing requirement. Council Member Gill it requested that the CEAC bring forward an alternate recommendation. Flaherty provide Committee members with a December 2011 memorandum from the City Attorney 's Office that proposed to amend the Code to address pet pigs as cats and dogs are addressed . Doug Cohn made a motion to table discussion to the July meeting due to absence of members. Bayless seconded the motion and it was approved 4-0. .. , .. • • • VI . VII. Code Enforcement Report a. March/ April Statistical Report -Sergeant McKay provide a summary of code action during March and April 2013 as compared to 2012. Improper outdoor storage and graffiti cases increased over the prior year, while animal cases declined. Topics for Future Meetings -Pet Pigs -Consideration of a recommendation to City Council. Member Hart requested that Council Member Mccaslin confirm that a majority of Council 1s requesting further action by CEAC. VIII. Adjournment Motion: Cohn Second: Berger Vote: 4-0 Time: 7:53
