Call to Order Englewood Code Enforcement Advisory Committee Meeting Minutes Wednesday January 18, 2012 lt'Y'...., Chair Linda Hart called the regular meeting of the Englewood Code Enforcement Advisory Committee to order at 6:36 p.m. Roll Call Members Present: Chair, Linda Hart, Vice Chair, Susan Bayless, Heather Roberts, Mary Berger Marjorie Becker via conference call and Doug Cohn (Alternate). Members Absent: James Jordon, Council Member Bob Mccaslin, Deputy Manager Michael Flaherty. Ex-Officio Members Present: Rick Gillit, Sergeant Mark McKay. Guest: None A quorum of the Committee was present. II. Approval of Minutes / Chair L. Hart made a motion to approve the minutes. The motion was seconded by Member H. Roberts. The minutes were unanimously approved. ill. Open Public Forum None N. New Business A. Municipal Court Dispositions of Dangerous Animal cases for 2011. Chair L. Hart provided a report of the 2011, court statistics prepared by the court administrator. A discussion ensued. Currently, there is no requirement for the owner of an animal to undergo any formal type of obedience training. Chair L. Hart volunteered to conduct additional research. V. Unfinished Business A. Review of classification of potb~llied pigs . Committee Members reviewed and discussed the draft ordinance. Chair L. Hart indicated she would like to clarify the definition of a "pig" and expressed the need to review portions of the ordinance's verbiage. • • .•. • Chair L. Hart requested a sub-committee be formed to address these concerns. Chair L. Hart, Vice Chair S. Bayless, Members M. Berger, and M. Becker volunteered to sit on the sub- committee. VI. Code Enforcement Activity Report Sergeant Mark McKay provided 2010 and 2011 annual statistics. Graffiti reports were significantly reduced in 2011. This reduction is credited to the property owner's swift removal of the graffiti and proactive enforcement and education. McKay also mentioned that the three Code Enforcement Officers are extremely active addressing various citizen complaints, including snow removal violations. VII. Announcements ·None VII. Topics for Next Meeting None VIII. Adjournment Vice Chair S. Bayless made motion to adjourn; Chair L. Hart seconded the motion. The motion carried. The meeting was adjourned at 7:26 p.m .
