CODE ENFORCEMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE
MEETING MINUTES
JULY 16, 2003
1. Call to Order.
The regular meeting of the Englewood Code Enforcement Advisory Committee
was called to order at 6:35 p .m. by Chairperson Crowell in the City Council
Conference Room .

A quorum was present.
2. Approval of Minutes.
Member Johnson moved and Member Hoagland seconded the motion to approve
the minutes of the regular meeting of June 18 , 2003. All were in favor. The
motion carried .
3. Public Open Forum.
None.
4. Old Business.
a. Nuisance Ordinance. This was reviewed at the last meeting with Nancy Reid,
City Attorney and Tricia Langon, Community Development. It was suggested
to the committee by Reid , to put this on hold until meeting with Planning and
Zoning.
b. Thirty Day Posting. After suggestions from Sergeant Sanchez to change the
Thirty Day Posting to a Fourteen Day Posting, additional discussion followed .
Member Goodrich made a motion and Member Bartnick seconded it to change
T itle 15-3-6 (Administrative Abatements ) from a Thirty Day Posting to a
Fourteen Day Posting. All were in favor. The motion carried . Member
Hoagland made a motion and Member Goodrich seconded it to change all
references in Title 15 referring to Thirty Day Postings. All were in favor. The
motion carried. The subject of "repeat offenders" came up in the discussion of
abatements on properties. Sanchez stated he will gather input on this from
Code Enforcement and report back to the committee .

5. New Business .
c. Inoperable Vehicle Ordinance. It was stated that the new Inoperable Vehicle
Ordinance took effect Monday, July 14, 2003.
6. Topics for August 20, 2003 meeting.
a. Thirty (30) Day Posting, follow up
b. Definition of "Repeat Offender"
c. Code Enforcement Monthly Activity Report
7. Adjournme~l.
Member Crowell made a motion and Member Hoagland seconded it to adjourn
the meeting . The meeting was adjourned at 7:58 p.m. All were in favor. The
motion carried.
