Meeting Minutes
August 18, 2004
Call to Order
Vice Chair Hoaglund called the regular meeting of the Englewood Code Enforcement
Advisory Committee to order at 6:40 p.m.
Roll Call
Members Present: Vice Chair, Chris Hoagland, Michael Calahan, Darryl Estes, Dooley
Gehr, Jim Goodrich, Cynthia Payne and alternate member Paul Hendricks
Absent: Jonathan Crowell, Chair
A quorum was present.
Ex-Officio Members Present: Laurett Barrentine, Council Liaison
Absent: Flaherty, Sanchez
Guest: Larry Wheeler, 3130 S. Washington Street
Approval of Minutes
Member Goodrich moved approval of the meeting minutes of July 21 , 2004 , Member
Payne seconded. Member Calahan noted that his name was spelled wrong in the minutes.
Subject to that correction, the motion carried.
III. Open Public Forum
Larry Wheeler, 3130 South Washington Street addressed the committee regarding
parking control and inoperable vehicles. Mr. Wheeler stated he supported the
enforcement of the inoperable vehicle ordinance and that one of his neighbors has come
into compliance, and one neighbor remains a problem.
IV. Old Business

A. Discussion of Committee By-Laws
The committee discussed the by-laws and reviewed suggested changes . Changes in
wording were proposed in Article II, Section 3. Sub -committees; in Article III, Section 4 .
Quorum; and Article IV, Section 5. Duties .
Member Gehr made a motion to fotward these wording changes for a vote at the
September meeting. Member Goodrich seconded the motion. The motion was
approved.
Monthly Activity Report
The Monthly A ctivity Report was reviewed. However, since Lieutenant Sanchez was absent
discussion was limited.

VI. New Business
No new business was presented.
VII. Topics for Future Meetings
T h e vote on the wording changes to the b y-laws and discussion of new Code Enforcement
notices were proposed for the September meeting agenda .
VIII. Adjournment
Member Calahan made a motion to adjourn, which was seconded by Member Gehr. The
motion carried. The meeting was adjourned.
