Call to Order
City of Englewood
Code Enforcement Advisory Committee
Minutes of March 21, 2007
Chair Dooley Gehr called the regular meeting of the Englewood Code Enforcement
Advisory Committee (CEAC) to order at 6:35 p.m.
Roll Call
Members Present: Chair Dooley Gehr, Co-Chair Chris Hoagland, Marjorie Becker, Brian
Bleile, Paul Hendricks, and Jill Wilson.
Members Absent: Marty Mosman (excused) and Alternate Ronald Rutherford (excused).
A quorum of the Committee was present.
Ex-Officio Members Present: Council Liaisons Laurett Barrentine and Jim Woodward,
and City Staff Liaisons Mike Flaherty and Sergeant Gary Condreay.
Guests : City Council Member Bob Mccaslin; David Walker, 4220 South Galapago; and
Koren Lowrimore, 3 12 7 South Elati .
Approval of Minutes
Chair Gehr distributed a revised copy of the February 21, 2007 Code Enforcement Advisory
Committee Meeting minutes. As there were no further corrections , a motion to approve the
minutes as distributed was made by Member Hoagland and seconded by Member Wilson .
The minutes were approved as revised.
Ill. Agenda Addition
The Chair advised that an additional item is being added under New Business -the Vicious
Animal Task Force .
IV. Open Public forum
David Walker, 4220 South Galapago, addressed the committee regarding code
enforcement of residential zoning at 4230 South Galapago.
Koren Lowrimore, 3127 South Elati Street, discussed parking a commercial vehicle at her
residence .

v. Unfinished Business
A. Nuisance Abatement
After a brief discussion, Member Hoagland made a motion to table this item until
ne xt month. This was seconded by Member Bleile. The motion carried.
B. Update on Logan / Hampden Pigeons
Sergeant Condreay will ask Code Officer Caroline Faseruk to give a verbal warning
and a notice of violation to the owner of the gas station at Hampden and Logan
who is feeding pigeons.
C. Follow up on Aerosol Products
Council Liaison Barrentine reported on her conversation with Office Depot
regarding the Committee's concern about aerosol products.
Sergeant Condreay will contact Officer Tim Mitchell to let him know of the
Committee 's concern about aerosol products and ask him to touch base with the
schools.
VI. New Business
A. Snow and Weed Violation Procedures vs. Abatement
Member Bleile made a motion to allow Sergeant Condreay five minutes to discuss
these items at which time the topic will be tabled until the next meeting. This was
seconded by Member Hendricks. There being no opposition, the motion carri e d.
B. Vehicle Insurance
Member Hoagland offered to research the "Drive Insured" document t o see what it
is about and how it might be applied in the City of Englewood .
C. Vicious Animal Task Force
Member Bleile volunteered to serve on this task force . Member Hoagland made a
motion to appoint Brian Bleile as CEAC's representative to the Task Force. Member
Wilson seconded this. The motion carried.
VII. Monthly Activity Report
Sergeant Condreay reported on last month 's activity.

IX. Adjournment
Member Bleile made a motion to adjourn the meeting; this was seconded by Member
Hoagland. There being no opposition, this meeting was adjourned at 8 :30 p .m .
