Call to Order City of Englewood Code Enforcement Advisory Committee Minutes of May 16, 2007 Co-Chair Chris Hoagland called the regular meeting of the Englewood Code Enforcement Advisory Committee (CEAC) to order at 6:40 p.m . Roll Call Members Present: Co-Chair Chris Hoagland, Marjorie Becker, Paul Hendricks, and Marty Mosman . Members Absent: Brian Bleile (excused), Jill Wilson (excused) and Alternate Ronald Rutherford . A quorum of the Committee was present. Ex-Officio Members Present: Council Liaison Jim Woodward, City Staff Liaison Mike Flaherty, and Sergeant Gary Condreay. Guests: Edna Blair, Joe Payne, Council Member Bob Mccaslin, Commander Sam Watson, Code Enforcement Officer Marjie Payne, and IT Representatives Kathy Kassy and Russ Vaughn . Approval of Minutes Co-Chair Hoagland called for changes to the minutes of the April 18, 2007 Code Enforcement Advisory Committee Meeting. There being no corrections, a motion to approve the minutes was made by Member Mosman and seconded by Member Hendricks. The minutes were unanimously approved . Ill. Open Public Forum Edna Blair, representing the Presbyterian Church at Logan and Hampden, was present to thank the committee for their assistance in alleviating the pigeon problem . She was pleased the City and the community were able to work together to resolve this issue. IV. New Business Code Enforcement Officer Marjie Payne and Sergeant Gary Condreay gave a demonstration on the features of the Code Trak system . This system is now being used in all Code Enforcement vehicles and has enhanced productivity and efficiency . 1 • • • v. • Unfinished Business A. Decriminalization of the Code Decriminalization of the nuisance prov isions of the Englewood Municipal Code was briefly discussed . B. Vicious Dogs Task Force Update The first meeting of this committee will be Thursday, May 1 711i, at 7 p.m . The Code Enforcement Advisory Committee will have an opportunity to review any revisions to the Code before changes are adopted . VI. Monthly Activity Report Sergeant Condreay reported on last month's Code Enforcement activity. VII. Topics for Future Meetings • Information from the City Attorney's Office on Decriminalization of Code • Vicious Dogs Task Force update from Member Bleile VIII.
