Telephone Poll
On May 25, 2000, the members of the Police Officers Pension Board were polled by the
Recording Secretary regarding approval of the following requests for Deferred Retirement
Option Plan (DROP):
David T. Silby, requested a DROP benefit retroactive to January 1, 1999. Mr. Silby was
employed by the City of Englewood on January 1, 1971 and received additional service
credit for his full-time employment as a City of Sheridan Police Officer from July 1, 1969
to December 31, 1970. He has the required twenty-five years of service credits to qualify
for retirement. His lifetime pension benefit as of January 1, 1999 is $2, 784.17 per month.
The amount to be transferred to his DROP account for the 17 monthly retroactive pension
benefits and five percent (5%) of pensionable earnings employee contribution is
$54,210.75. The transfer to the DROP account will be done on June 1, 2000.
Steven R. Knoll, has requested a DROP benefit retroactive to October 1, 1999. Mr. Knoll
was employed by the City of Englewood on April 3, 1973. He has the required twenty-
five years of service credits to qualify for retirement. His lifetime pension benefit as of
October 1, 1999 is $3,375.43 per month. The amount to be transferred to his DROP
account for the eight monthly retroactive pension benefits and five percent (5%) of
pensionable earnings employee contributi on is $30,114.56. The transfer to the DROP
account will be done on June 1, 2000.
Douglas K. Nessan, requested a DROP benefit retroactive to January 1, 1999. Mr. Nessan
was employed by the City of Englewood on April 3, 1973. He has the required twenty-
five years of service credits to qualify for retirement. His lifetime pension benefit as of
January 1, 1999 is $2,150.65 per month. The amount to be transferred to his DROP
account for the 17 monthly retroactive pension benefits and five percent (5%) of
pensionable earnings employee contribution is $42,003 .89. The transfer to the DROP
account will be done on June 1, 2000.
Richard W. Welbourne, requested a DROP benefit retroactive to January 1, 1999. Mr.
Welbourne was employed by the City of Englewood on May 1, 1970. He has the required
twenty-five years of service credits to qualify for retirement. His lifetime pension benefit
as ofJanuary 1, 1999 is $2,763.39 per month. The amount to be transferred to his DROP
account for the 17 monthly retroactive pension benefits and five percent (5%) of
pensionable earnings employee contribution is $53,910.78. The transfer to the DROP
account will be done on June 1, 2000 .
George Egri, requested a DROP benefit effective June 4, 2000. Mr. Egri was employed by
the City of Englewood on June 1, 1975. He has the required twenty-five years of service
credits to qualify for retirement. His lifetime pension benefit as of January 1, 1999 is
$2,766.75 per month. The first payment to the DROP account will be the June, 2000
payment.
