Members Present: Members Absent: Others Present: No1111 Wood, Chairperson Ralph "Rick" Forbes, Employee Representative Frank Gryglewicz, Director of Finance and Administrative Services Bev Bradshaw, Mayor George Egri, Employee Representative ( otice) James Phelps, Council Appointee (No Notice) Carol Wescoat, Recording Secretary Dan Brotzman, City Attorney A quorum was present. * * * * * SEATING OF BOARD MEMBER Seating of Board Member Nomi Wood. The Board congratulated Mr. Wood on his election to the Police Officers Pension Board. Election of Board Chairperson/President MR. GRYGLEWICZ MOVED TO NOMINATE NORM WOOD AS CHAIRPERSON. MAYOR BRADSHAW SECONDED. A yes: Nays: Absent: Abstention: The motion carried. Bradshaw, Forbes, Gryglewicz None Egri , Phelps Wood AP PROV AL OF MINUTES MR. GRYGLEWICZ MOVED TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF JULY 11 , 2002. MAYOR BRADSHAW SECONDED. Ayes: Nays: Absent: Abstention: The motion canied. Bradshaw, Gryglewicz, Wood None Egri, Phelps Forbes MAYOR BRADSHAW MOVED TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE TELEPHONE POLL OF DECEMBER 13 , 2002. MR. GRYGLEWICZ SECONDED. Ayes: Nays: Absent: The motion carried. OLD BUSINESS Bradshaw, Forbes, Gryglewicz, Wood None Egri, Phelps * * * * * No old business was discussed NEW BUSINESS Consideration of Retirement Benefit Request from David C. Miller. David C. Miller, fom1er police officer, was employed by the City of Englewood from September 1, 1973 to May 15 , 1977 and again from March 1, 1978 to December 2, 1994. Mr. Miller also has service with the Commerce City from February 16 , 1973 to August 29 , 1973. Mr. Miller has requested a retirement benefit effective December 25 , 2002, when h e is 55, the age required for retirement. MR . GRYGLEWICZ MOVED TO APPROVE THE MONTHLY BENEFIT OF 52 ,577.54 FOR DAVID C. MILLER EFFECTIVE DECEMBER 25 , 2002. MR. FORBES SECONDED. Ayes: Bradshaw, Forbes. Gry glewic z, Wood Police Officers Pension Board 2 Nays: None Absent: Egri, Phelp s The motion carried. Consideration of Plan Docum e nt Amendment Four, Sel f-D irection of DROP . The Board revi ewed the proposed amendment to permit th e participants in the D e ferr ed R e tire ment Option Plan (DROP) to self-direct investments. MR. GRYGLEWICZ MOVED TO APPROVE PLAN AMENDMENT FOUR, SELF- DIRECTION OF DROP. MR. FORBES SECONDED. Ayes: Nays: Absent: The motion carried. Bradshaw, Forbes , Gryglewicz, Wood None Egri, Phelps Review of FPPA Plan Statements . The Board reviewed the quarterly statements from the Fire and Police Pension Assoc iation (FPPA). MEMBERS CHOICE Mayor Bradshaw wished the Board a Happ y New Year and hoped that 2003 is a b e tter year. MR. FORBES MOVED TO ADJOURN. MAYOR BRADSHAW SECON DED. Ayes: Nays: Absent: The motion carried.
