Special Meeting
A special meeting of the Englewood Firefighters Pension Board was called to order by
Chairperson Bill Young at 7:40 a .m. in Training Roomof the E ngl ewood Safety Services
Building, 3615 South Elati Street.
Members Present:

Frank Gryglewicz, Director of Financial Services (arrive 7 :45a.m.)

Gus Kenneth McElhaney
Gus McElhaney, a retired firefighter died on January 9, 1998 . Mr. McElhaney did not
have a surviving spouse.
MR. SEAY MOVED TO APPROVE THE $100 DEATH BENEFIT PAYMENT TO BE
PROVIDED TO THE ESTATE OF GUS KENNETH MCELHANEY. MR.
GRUNINGER SECONDED.

Mr. Gryglewicz arrived 7:45 a .m.
Discussion of 20% Supplemental Disability
Discussion ensued relating to the sample proposed draft of the 20% Supplemental
Disability ordinance.
MR. GRUNINGER MOVED RECOMMEND THE PROPOSED DRAFT ORDINANCE
FOR THE 20% SUPPLEMENT AL DISABILITY BENEFIT AS AMENDED . MR.
SEAY SECONDED.

Proposed Plan Document
Chairperson Young inquired about the procedure to have City Council approve the plan
document. The active plan members have approved the proposed plan document with a
65% vote. Discussion ensued related to presenting the proposed plan document to City
Council. Mr. Brotzman stated Mr. Gtyglewicz would prepare the proposed document to
present at a council study session .
Meeting adjourned at 8:40 a.m .
