A regular meeting of the Englewood Firefighters Pension Board was called to order by
Member Jay Seay at 3:45 p .m . in the Public Works Conference Room of the Englewood
Civic Center, 1000 Englewood Parkway.

Mr. Seay inquired ifthere was any new information about the Fire and Police Pension
Association (FPP A) fee structure and the potential of getting any state funds . There is no
new information .
NEW BUSINESS
Review of 2006 Attendance
The Board reviewed the attendance of the 2006 meetings .
Review ofFPPA Volunteer and Firefighters Plan Statements
Mr. Gryglewicz reviewed the FPPA quarterly and annual statements.
Mr. Garcilaso suggested providing copies of the FPP A statement to plan participants. Discussion
followed relating to the need to provide additional information such as a letter of explanation that
outlines the funding of the plan. The concern is that the paiiicipants will see a large balance and
assume there is plenty of funds to provide an increase for the retirees . The actuarial calculations
may not reflect the availability of funds for a benefit increase.
Mr. Seay suggested the item be tabled until the next board meeting.
Discussion of 2007 Actuarial Studies for Volunteer Firefighters Pension Plan.
The board discussed possible 2007 Volunteer Firefighters actuarial studies ..
MR. GRYGLEWICZ MOVED TO REQUEST TWO STUDIES TO BE INCLUDED WITH
THE 2007 VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTERS ACTUARIAL REPORT . ONE STUDY TO
PROVIDE A MONTHLY INCREASE OF $50 FOR FIREFIGHTERS AND $25 FOR
SURVIVORS AND INCREASING THE FUNERAL BENEFIT TO $500 FOR THE

Consideration of Benefit for Susie Schneider Survivor of Firefighter Raymond Schneider.
Raymond Schneider, retired firefighter, died November 23, 2006 . Mr. Schneider is survived
by his spouse Susie Schneider.
MR. GRYGLEWICZ MOVED TO APPROVED A $652.62 SURVIVOR MONTHLY
BENEFIT FOR SUSIE SCI-INEIDER BEGINNING DECEMBER 1, 2006 AND A ONE-
TIME FUNERAL BENEFIT OF $500. MR. SEAY SECONDED.
