up a collection us ing Playaway, a type of au di o book. Typically the book sale profits are bet w een $1500 -
$2000. The collection would include both adu lt and juvenile audio books . There was a brief discussion
about Pla yaways . Mr. Long had an ex ample of a children's book on Playaway that he passed around .
It was noted under monthly statist ics that Job Kiosk usage was up s ignificantly.
Ideas for signage for the Internet terminals were brought forth for discussion . Ms. Nordlander had sent
possib le ideas via email which had been copied for the Board to read, along with Mr. Long's reply . It wa s
noted that there is a fine line between too many and not enough signs for the public to read. In man y
instances the public just won 't read a sign, they would rather ask a person for an answer or just not pay
any attention to signs. It was noted that patron contacts which reflect patron asking questions has
remained the same so there was thought that those needing help were asking for it. It was decided to put
ideas for signage on hold and revisit in the future .
