Rehab Status Report: • Chairman Burns questioned Rehab Loan No. 13.'.f in i·egar d s to the pending divorc.e as shown on the st.c1,l:;us ,-~pc,~-t . He wondered whether the parties in the divorce had been contacted tc, determine if the loan p a ymen t wc:s go:ng t-c be taken care of in the divorce settlement. More aggressive collection efforts for p~st-du e r e hab loans were discussed. Pennsylvania St. has .:1, st,c,ng potential buyer who has been pre-qualified b y Brc•thers Redevelop.ment, and that there is also another p otent 1~l buyer for another hcuse if the buyer qualifies for a loan. Once a fin11 price has been prc,vided by C;:-e.?tive Living, Inc. the EHA will be ready to sign a P u rch3se Agreement with the buyei-<s> and construction co,nt•-i'cts with CLI. If the one potential buyer dc,es not quca.l j fy fc,r a loan, c,ne of the EHDC rental uni ts could he constructed. In this way~ the EHA would have two units again under construction at CLI, an opt i mal ,,umbei-f o r CL I and the EHA to deal with a .t one ti me. A discussion ensued regarding the amount of do"n~ayment to be made to CL I. The current contract is ambiguo u s as to when the 35% portion is to be paid after the 15~.~ is paid at contract signing. GENERAL_DISCUSSION A. Con11issioners• Choice The need for day care at subsidized pn:,perties wa s briefly discussed. The backup generator at Orchard Place was also discussed. The Executive Directr,r ,-eported that the warranty on the bact.:up generator from Detroit Diesel was for 24 months or 4000 hours~ and the EHA ha.d passed the warranty period. Therefore, the offer · for tt-i e engine blocl:: was not legally required of Det1-oit Diesel and the EHA could go up and pict< up the engine blocl< and store it.
