HomeMy WebLinkAbout1979-09-26 EDDA MINUTES• BRADFORD PUBLISHING CO ., DENVER RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS ENGLEWOOD DOWNTOWN DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY BOARD OF DIRECTORS SPECIAL MEETING Wednesday, September 26, 1979 Board Members Present: Holthaus, Kaufman, Mann, Mausolf, Maxwell, and Executive Director, Keller. Board Members Absent: Allen, Coleman, Gasson, Glenn, Robohm, and Stones, Guests and Visitors: Samm Bassett, Ed Cordova, Art Davis, Ron Dawson, Joe Gergay, Martin Herzog, Isabella Knight, Rosemary LaPorta, Hobart Moss, Howard Olsen, Dorothy Romans, Cynthia Skaggs, Rosalee Weisberg, and Helen Wolf. Board Chairman Kaufman called the meeting to order at 12:35 p.m. There were not enough board members present for a quorum, so no formal business could be conducted. Board Chairman Kaufman made the presentation of a plaque, to Martin Herzog in appreciation of the Herzog Canges Properties improvement to the 3300 block of Broadway. Executive Director Keller reported briefly on the International Downtown Executive Association Conference in Hartford, Connecticut and Boston, Massachusetts. Cassette tapes of all the conference sessions are available in the Englewood Downtown Development Authority office for listening at any time. At today's meeting, there were several business people from the 3400 block of Broadway, interested in the purchase of the Public Service property, the parking lot, mini park, and walk thru. Executive Director Keller reviewed the $650,000 development project, but doe to the lack of a quorum, no official action implementing any of the phases of the plan could be taken. Executive Director Keller suggested that an opportunity be provided for all Englewood City Council candidates, to learn about Englewood Downtown Development Authority so they may establish an opinion if asked by a prospective voter.
