MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING
September 23. 1992

A special meeting of the Englewood Downtown Development Authority Board of
Directors was called to order by Chairman Close 8:00 a.m. This special meeting
and related study session was held to evaluate prior years work programs and
activities and develop policy for the coming year.
Resolution 92-02:
RESOLUTION 92-02
By action of the Board of Directors of the Englewood Downtown
Development Authority this 23 day of September, 1992, it is hereby
RESOLVED to appropriate Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00) as
contribution by the Englewood Downtown Development Authority to
initial funding of the Englewood Small Business Development
Corporation.
Motion for passage of Resolution 92-02 carried by voice vote.
EDDA Mission Statement:
The following was proposed for adoption as the EDDA Mission Statement:
Create and promote an environment in which existing businesses can
thrive and new businesses can grow.
Motion for adoption of this new mission statement was carried by voice vote.

Programs and Activities:
It was decided to balance imaging and physical improvement programs in the
district, and continue to with versions of the Sounds of Summer Concerts, Fishing
Derby, Festival, etc., for 1993. It was also suggested that additional funding
be sought beyond the EDDA budget for these programs.
As there was no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 12:00 p.m.
