The Special Meeting of the City Planning and Zoning Commission was called to order at 5:30 p.m. by Vice-Chairman Carson. Members present: McBrayer, Tanguma, Barbre, Becker, Carson, Draper, Allen Powers, Ex-officio Members absent: Pierson, Senti Also present: Associate Planner Barbara S. Young Assistant City Attorney Tom Holland II. FINDINGS OF FACT Amendment of Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance re: Adult Entertainment and Service Facilities Case #B-1-81 Mr. Carson stated that the Findings of Fact regarding the pro- posed amendment of the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance to place restrictions on the location of adult entertainment and service facilities were to be considered for approval. Tanguma moved: McBrayer seconded: The Findings of Fact on Case #B-1-81 be approved as written, and forwarded to the City Council. Ms. Powers noted that a replacement for Page 7 had been placed before the Commission, and asked that this replacement page be incorporated in the approved Findings of Fact. Ms. Powers noted that the Commission recommendation that if the 1,000 foot limitation is found to be excessive by the courts, that 750 foot distance limitations be imposed, is not written into the ordinance as revised by the Commission, but is contained within the recommendation and is part of the Findings of Fact. Ms. Powers noted that the Public Hearing before the City Council will be June 1, 1981, at 7:30 P. M. Mr. Holland cautioned members that were not present at the Public Hearing that unless they have listened to the tape of the meeting or read the material, that they should abstain on the matter of the Findings of Fact. Mrs. Pierson entered the meeting and took her place with the Commission. -2- The vote on the motion was called: AYES: Pierson, Tanguma, Barbre, Becker, Carson, McBrayer NAYS: None ABSTAIN: Allen, Draper ABSENT: Senti The motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 5:45 P. M. • • •
