The meeting was called to order by ChaLTT.lan Frantz at 8: 00 Po M.
Er. Dale Rea, ililgineer and ~ffro Robert Flynn, appeared, representing The Plaza Development,,
a portion of an area between West Belleview Avenue, SOllth University Blvd., Orchard Road,
and South Clarkson St,reeto The purpose of their appearance was to discuss the possibility
of securing water from The City of Englewood for the area through a Distributor's Contract,
providing a district can be formedo
After discussion,
Scott moved,
Purcell seconded, that the ~·rater Board recommend to Council that a preliminary
cor.u:ri.ttment be made stating that water service will be furnisrad,
under standard Distributor's Contract, to an area bounded on the
1.'fost by South Clarkson, the ~forth by ~ast Belleview Avenue, the
East by South University and the South by Orchard Road; plus,
t.Yiat portion of Greem7ood Village ly)ng North of Orcl'.ard Road
immediately nest of South Clarkson extended, provided this area
or a major portion thereof is organized into a statuatory water
district containing a land area that is satisfactory in size to
the City Gouncil of The City of Englewood.

The Water Attorney, :.'::-., Shivers, led a general discussion regarding possible damage to
Platte River water richts by the numerous wells bei.ne drilled along the river basino
The preliminary draft of Rules and Regulations of The Enr;lewood i;ater Department of The
City of Engle-vrnod was again presented by the -v:ater Commissioner, reading of same having ·
been continued from the meetin.<: of March 28, 19.560
After discussion of various points of particular interest to board !!lembers, it was
decided that the \'later .Comm issioner s hould work with the City Attorney in putting the
Rules and Regulations in Qrdina.nce Form, copies to be furnished the Water Board members
for inspection before final approval and recor.imend.ation to City Councilo
The Viater Attorney, r.:r. Shivers called attention to the Tipron and Kalnbach report on
the proposed Ranch Creek collect,ion and Storage System; also, a discussion was held
regarding the possibilit)es for transporting of future transmountain watero

A discussion was held regarding the map showine proposed boundries to be designated as
future Englewood water service area in connection with the Tri~County Trust Agreement.

That a preliminary commitment be made stating that water service
will be furnished, under standard Distributor•s Contract, to an
area bounded on the West by South Clarkson, the North by East
Belleview Avenue, the East by South University and the South by
Orchard Road; plus, that portion of Greenwood Village lyinc North

Tipton and Kalmbach ~ Engineer's Report
That the City Council proceed to request the preparation of plans
and specifications on Stage 1 Collection System, approve collection
conduit capacities listed on page 21 of the Engineer's Report, and
authorize, followiri..g estimates of cost thereof from the Engineer~
the test drilling of both the Cabin Creek and Headow Creek siteso
