The Citv Council was shov.n a letter from Mark
Shivers suggesting that the City of Englewood designate
business and legal rep1'"esentatives to attend a proposed
conference with corresponding people on the ~enver Water
Board to 1110rk out; details in an Exohange and Transmission
Contract. Mark• s suggestion was prompted by a letter
frm Glenn Saunden asking that suoh procedure be set upo
After ~~asonable discussion the Councilmen felt
that the Water AdVisory Board are in best position to
select proper people ror this joint oonf erence and to
continue in negotiations along the lines indicated hereto-
f oreo
It is also presumed and I am sure can be arranged
that a qualified member of the Tipton and Kalmbach firm
will attend the conference or my adjourmnent thereof•
This note is written now so that the whole matter
oan oome before the Januaey 24th session of the Water
Advisory Boardo

The City Council haa agreed in principal and
detail with a recommendation frcwn the Water Advisory
Board conoerning the matter of sewage disposal from the
large area southeast of Englewoodo
It appeared to be the lmanimous opinion of
the Councilmen that the water Advisory Board oontinue
discussions and tenative negotiations with all ooncemed
toward the end point tha.t there will be no disposal plant
in the Big Dry Creek Valley and that an equi tabla arrange ...
ment can be made to expand and use the Englewood Disposal
Plant and any sewer lines now availableo

this report., but it was i.ndioa.·t;ed that the subject matter
and the report itself should be f'ully considered by the
Water Advisory Board before a:ny definite steps are takeno

members of the Water Advisory Board to consider the Sawvel
report from all angles and to report their ree.otions and

has in this vicinity is a 60" oonduit,, the full capacity of which is
presently required to sal"V'e areas in southeast Denvero No further
large connections should be made to this conduit in the vicinity oon•

That the request by the Valley Sanitation District, under date of
January 24, 1957 1 for permission. to annex, by supplemental agree-
ment, an additional non-contiguous area described as: All of Block
11 Lots 1 through 22, Block 8/Lot.s 7 through 22, Block 9.,, Lots 7
through 22, Block 101 and Lots 8 through 25, Block 11 1 Lots 1
through 33, Second Resubdivision of Blocks 12 1 13, 14 and 15, All
in Sheridan Hills, 2nd Addition, Arapahoe County, be denied since
the area does not come under the conditions of the original contract
and the City is presently concerned with studies of sewage disposal
rates, head tap fees and available treatment plant facilitieso
