Pursuant to previous request of the Water Advisory Board, Mro Shivers, Special CQunsel,
made the following report relative to his findings as to the costs involved in a study for
the possible location of raw water storage reservoirs:
la That the cost of checking prospective storage reservoir sites for yossibl.e purchase

2o That the cost or checking the foregoing plus reconnaissance survey ·of those capable
of being utili:!ed would be from $SOOoOO to $750000,,

attached tabulation as a part of these minuteso)
After discussion and clarification,
Kreiling moved,
Robohm, seconded, That the Water Advisory Board recommend to City Council that the
suggested new irrigation rates be nade a part or the other suggested
new water rates, previously' recommended to City Council, under date
of January 15, 1958, for adoption by resolutianQ

After discussion which included explanation of nethods used in arriving at the charges,
Kreilinc moved,
Brownewell, seconded, That the Water Advisor.r Boord recomnend to Ci'fu Council that
the sanitary sewer "head tap" fee schedule for industrial
properties outside the City 1 be adopted as subni tted on
attached sheet.,

Mr. Rudd 1 City Manager, reported that, as requested at the meeting of February' 19, 19581
he had written a letter to the Regional Commissioner or General Services Administration
relative to availability of Fort Logan water and had received the following letter in
answer:

I have received yaur letter of February 26 which you wrote to
me, as I suggested in 9\11" recent telephone conversationo
Although Fort Logan has been declared excess to the needs of
the Veteran's Administration, the requirensnts of Federal
agencies have not yet been determinedo Until the requireJJSnts
of all Federal agencies have been fUlfilled, the property will
not be determined to be surphls and, until then, we are not in
a position to negotiate with you for any portion of the reservationo
We note that the City or Englewood is interested µi the
possibility of acquiring the water supp:).y wells, water rights,
and the sewage disposal pla.nt1 and will interpose no objection to
your naking arrangensrits with the Veteran's Administration to

Mayor Scott reported that Aurora, Colorado had responded to his letter requesting a
·.conference on their use of Platte River water, and had asked for a meeting of engineering
personnel .f'irst o ·
Wo Wo Wheeler bad made studies for Englewood and Mayor Scott stated that he had advised
Aurora that Mro Wheeler would represent 1'llglewocd at Sllch engineer's meetingo
Mayor Scott reported that, as requested by this Board, February 19., 19.58, he had written
to Mayor Williams of Littleton., Colorado, relative to naintenance work on the Brown Ditch
by Mr o o• Brien~ but, as yet, had not received ~ answero
The Water Advisory Board discussed general: views of pos1:1i,ble Home Rule Charter provisions
covering adminiat!>ation and management or t~e Englewood water works systemp
It was agreed by all members present that the next maeting wruld be held Wednesday, April 2,

There being no further blsiness to come before the Water Advisory Board, the meeting was
