The amenanent revised upward the anticipated number of sewer taps and revenues shown in the
original. reporto
Mro Imhoff stated that, since the City proposes to increase sewage treatment rates for all
outside city selirer accounts and also proposes to make sewage treatment rates more equitable
for residential. accounts inside the city» except one=·family unitsi and commercial accounts~
it appeared that there would result an approximate 10% ioorease in total revenue"
Mro Imhoff indicated that this reverme increase, togetoor with the added increase in reverw.e
from the proposed increase in head tap fees to the South Arapahoe Sanitation Districts would
be sufficient total increase to qualify the City to meet aeVl'er bond requirements without an
'increase in sewage treatment rates for one=.tamily residential units inside the city"
Mro Imhoff next presented a recomme nded Time Schedule for Sewage Disposal Project., (See copy
of time schedule, attached, aa a part of these minuteso)

The matter having been temporarily tabled (See Water and Sewer Board Minutes ot November 4,
19$9), discussion was rene11ed on a proposal by Coughlin and Compaiur to the City for the
preparation and financial services in connection with the issuance of up to $750 1 000 of
water bond.so (See copy of proposal, attached, as a part of these minuteso) This proposal
provides charge s on a sliding scale» based on the assumption that the bonds would be issued
in more than one blocko
After diacussion, Mro Imhoff stated that he was authorized to quote a fee of $803.3 Per
Thousand Dollars of Bonds provided the entire $750,000 is to be considered for issuance
at one timeo
After further discussion, in which it 11as dete4.~mined that the full $750,000 11hould be made
available £or use as the project for procurement and construction o! a raw water storage
reservoir progresses8

A discussion was held on an offer by the ColorMo Central Power Company to sell to the
City approximately one and one·=half acres of land~ located north of West Oxford Avenue and
west of the South Platte River, including the present pumping station, to be used as the

the shares of McBroaa Ditch rights, owned by the Colorado
Central Power Company, as offered to the Cicy of Englewood,

plan to be worked out mutually by the City .Manager and the
Power Companyo

We understand that the City of Englewood wishes to improve the water supply by acquisi-

the approximate amount of $750,000 must be issued to finance this project and that should
lower cost result , that fewer bonds may be issued" In connection with this proposed issue
we submit the following proposal for your consideration under which we will R.ct as filvln ....

the necessary legal proceedings required by law as follows:

B0 Upon issuance of the negotiable bonds, we will furnish to the purchaser
and to the City a complete executed transcript of proceedings and the
final unqualified approving opinion of the above=lllentioned bond attorneys~
certifying to the legality of the bond issueo

financing, designed to bring the lowest possible rate of interest o
