Members present: Members absent: Also present: Van Dyke, Gulley, Lay, Neumann, Van Seiver Resley, Habenicht, Kozacek, Fullerton Stewart Fonda, Director of Utilities Mike Woika, Utilities Manager Rick DeWitt, City Attorney, Joe Tom Wood, Consultant David Hill, Attorney 1. MINUTES OF THE APRIL 19, 1988 MEETING. The Englewood Water and Sewer Board minutes of the April 19, 1988 meeting were approved as written. Van Dyke moved; Mr. Neumann seconded: Ayes: Nays: Members absent: Motion carried . To approve the April 19, 1988 meeting minutes. Van Dyke, Gulley, Lay Neumann, Van Seiver None Habenicht, Kozacek, Resley, Fullerton • • • Mrs. Habenicht, Mr. Resley and Mr. Kozacek entered the meeting as of 5:10 p.m . 2. FROG HOLLOW -CHERRY HILLS WATER AGREEMENT. Mr. Fonda reviewed previous discussions regarding an area known as "Frog Hollow" going on Englewood City water. Stu discussed the advantages of this area being serviced for water by Englewood and forming a loop in the wa ter system. The l i nes in the Frog Hollow area would have to be bro ught up to current standards before Englewood would accept r e sponsibility f or controlling and maintaining the lines. The Water and Sewer Board directed Stu to draft an agreement between the City of Englewo od and Cherry Hills stating that Englewood would provide wa ter service to the Frog Hollow area if Cherry Hills agrees to brin g the existing water lines up to Englewood City Code standar ds . Mr. Van Seiver moved; Mayor Van Dyke seconded: Ayes: Nays: Members absent: Motion carried. To dir ect the Utilities Department to d r aft an agreement with Cherry hills stat ing that Englewood would extend water service to the Frog Hollow area if the existing water lines are brought up to Englewood City Code standards. Van Dyke, Habenicht, Kozacek, Resley, Gulley, Lay, Neumann, Van Seiver None Fullerton Neil Neumann and Jo Lay excused themselves at 6:30 p.m. 3 . PETERSBURG CASE David Hill explained the ramifications of the Petersburg Ditch trial. Mr. Hill discussed historical use and strategies. The trial is to be held in Greel ey June 6, 1988 at 9:30 a.m. in Judge Behrman's Court . • • • The meeting adjourned at 6:45 p.m. The next Water and Sewer Board meeting will be July 12, 1988 at 5:00 p.m. in Conference Room A.
