WHITE MOVED, AND MR. HANSON SECONDED, TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF FEBRUARY 19, 1976. Ayes: Nays: The motion carried Hosanna, Turner, Hanson, Brundage, White None * * * * Rev. Hosanna offered his congratulations to William Hanson, who was recently re~elected to the Board for another term . * * * * Mr. Lorig had asked the City Attorney for his opinion as to whether a candidate on the Police Officer eligibility list could be dropped from the list because of the results of his psychological testing. Mr. Lorig reported to the Board that the response had been affirmative, that the City could, indeed, remove a candidate for this reason. * * * * The subject of related employees working in the same department was discussed. Mr. Lorig told the Board that the City Council would like to meet with them to discuss their views on the subject. A tentative meeting date was set. The Board members requested that the Personnel Department furnish materials for them to study on the advantages and disadvantages of relatives working in the same department, and also to find out the policies of certain other agencies. * * * * Mr. Lorig told the Board that the City Council had passed on 2nd reading the raises negotiated for City employees for 1976. The raises (Police -1.62%, Fire -1.57%, non-emergency -4.5%) will be retro-active to January 1, 1976. * * * * 252 MR. WHITE MOVED, AND MR.
