Rev. Hosanna offered his congratulations to William Hanson, who
was recently re~elected to the Board for another term .
* * * *
Mr. Lorig had asked the City Attorney for his opinion as to
whether a candidate on the Police Officer eligibility list could
be dropped from the list because of the results of his psychological
testing. Mr. Lorig reported to the Board that the response had
been affirmative, that the City could, indeed, remove a candidate
for this reason.
* * * *
The subject of related employees working in the same department was
discussed. Mr. Lorig told the Board that the City Council would
like to meet with them to discuss their views on the subject. A
tentative meeting date was set.
The Board members requested that the Personnel Department furnish
materials for them to study on the advantages and disadvantages of
relatives working in the same department, and also to find out
the policies of certain other agencies.

Mr. Lorig told the Board that the City Council had passed on 2nd
reading the raises negotiated for City employees for 1976. The
raises (Police -1.62%, Fire -1.57%, non-emergency -4.5%) will
